Body code was just a number assigned on the assembly line.

    7379-0 isn't quite right. 73 means it's a 1973 car. 79 means it's a Javelin. It should be a -7 for a base Jav, a -8 for AMX trim.

T146-R. the 46 means it was a tan interior, -R means it was a domino pattern fabric.

D4-00 means it was 2 tone. The top would have been D4 (Cordoba brown poly), 00 is a special paint or stripe code.

w-099144 means it was the 99144th car (of any model) off the west assembly line in 1973. All models were made on both lines, not just Javelins. Since it starts with a 0, it was built in Kenosha.

The VIN is missing a #. Assuming its A3C3798H328007

    A - AMC
    3 - 1973
    C - Automatic trans - console shift
379 - matches digits from trim code
    8 - Javelin
    H - 304 2 BBl
328007 serial number (will also be on the frame rail) You would need to remove the steering box to see it.

This info is all at www.planethoustonamx.com in the production/tech tab.
