    AMC 360 Carb TUNING

hey guys - don't flame me for being a total noob here.

So the 360 is in the CJ now...a local shop did it up for me...

    few q's...

What carb came with this motor? It's out of a '85 Grand Wagoneer.
its a 2bbl...so I think it is the Motorcraft 2bbl..would that be the 2100 or 2150?

It also idles way to high in neutral (stick shift - 5speed), and I noticed it did not have a throttle return spring, so sometimes the throttle would return all the way and other times it did not. I'm using the old 4.2l throttle cable which is long...so the it sometimes sticks/binds.
When I placed a throttle return spring on, the throttle returns as it should, but the idle is really low, and it struggles to run, then eventually quits.

I need to figure out how to tune this thing. Where can I get info on setting the fuel mixture/high idle/curb idle?

    thanks
    Paul

Add a return spring and tweek the idle screw down to about 800 rpm - go from there on the jetting...
