Is there any other way for water from cooling system to be dumped into crank case except the obvious....blown head gasket or cracked block?
Thanks in advance
Jerry
Oh yea...it's a 360.
Leaking Intake Manifold gasket or
Leaking Timing Cover to Block gasket.
Or maybe a hole corroded through the timing cover water passages.
Also cracked pieces as MC siad.
Yes it is but I don't believe that is it. Since I am not familiar with the quirks of AMC engines yet I thought I'd ask before I jump to conclusion of cracked block. I had a set of heads done and redid the top end but not familiar with other areas where it could be introduced.
Thanks for the clues as to what to look for.

Well I finally got back around to working on the carb tuner....had to walk away from it for awhile .
Culprit was indeed the timing chain cover water passages. Got it off and blasted it good and not only was the one in pic 1 which was obvious when I got it off.....water culprit....I also acquired a few more lol. Looks like Korea in there lol.
Thanks for the tips guys. http://community.webshots.com/album/559578233Hthlum
