How long after start to see pressure?

How long do your AMC V8s take to show pressure on the gage after sitting for a few days? My butthole cringes shut everytime I wait for that needle to jump. I'll time it tonight but it feels like five seconds or so. I'm tempted to put on an accumulator.

My 360 drag motor took about that long the other day when I started it to get it off the trailer. This was after I cranked it for a bit to get psi up (no it did not show on gauge) before it lit off then it was 5 sec. BTW this was after sitting since November.
Dose your oil filter have a anti drain back valve in it? I don’t remember what I have on motor now but I have a NAPA NASCAR filter to install soon, they did not have a gold filter instock and I was looking to do the change last weekend just could not get to it.
This NASCAR filter looks like it has the valve and I am told the gold has one.

try synthetic oil...pressure builds much quicker.
If this new part can't break....what old part will??
