Did Break-In run yesterday on the "new" new 367 motor.
All went well. Used strait 30wt Rotella-T, API rated SJ, and 1/2 bottle, of GM E.O.S., 8oz.
New Elgin / Clevite cam and lifters. A little disappointed in how it runs,
sounds much milder than it did before, more of a "thrush thrush" sound than a "roar roar"
and not nearly as lumpy an idle, from what little bit of time it was heard idleing.
Will drive it soon and see.

Have clocked 225 miles, all seems ok. Have yet to hammer on it.
Trying to be stealthy, today I wired up existing in-dash E-Brake Warning Light as a Shift Light.
Simple cause the E-Brake light, rather than being powered through the instrument cluster "circuit board",
has it's own 2 idependent wires and just attached them to an RPM activated switch.

Been thinkin' chassis dyno, but fear the truth

Been to much urban growth, none feel like "isolated stretches"

Stick with it on the Ignition / Dizzy / Timing. You'll get it
Just 3 or 4 things that all move relative to one another.
    1) Cap, Hsg, Switch Plate, moved by initial timing setting
    2) Rotor button, moved by mech advance
    3) Switch Plate, moved by vac advance
Just get them all so button points to a post when it fires and is at TDC.
    Easy to say anyway.

some new pics, old low res digicam

yeah, I've got a guy covering my weekend for me so i'll pull the front cover off and check the timing chain (double roller billet).

Think'n on a different Dizzy ... I rebuilt this (stock) one and may have screwed up somewhere.

May be lo-res pix, but still a good look'n ride!!

    My First Videos AMX YouTube

Well, it aint much, but it's a start. Steep learning curve with this digital video stuff.
Hopefully some more entertaining stuff to follow.
Need to learn to get beyond 30 second length limit to the video caused by me and camera, not YouTube.
Currently recording to memory card in camera cause can download to pc thru USB.
Looks like I need a firewire card, firewire cable, and DVD software
to make videos longer than 30 seconds on tape and download to the pc.
More than I can spend right now, someone loaned me their camera to use.
Need to get a cameraman and go find a place to do a burnout.

Clips 7 thru 10 are with it running. How's it sound y'all ??? Flowmaster 40 series.

A Burnout was the main video objective

Gotta corner someone to take time to play cameraman
it started raining and hasn't stopped for about a week
car hasn't been wet for 4 years
and how to fugure a work-around to get more than 30 seconds
and still be able to download to my pc without spending $$$

Well, after 1st 343 block, 360 crank rebuild wiped a cam lobe,
the 2nd assembly with a smaller Elgin E-1041-P cam & lifters
now has over 1200 miles on it all seems well.
Smaller cam forced a change from previous 850 DP down to a 750 DP.
After much worrying, nashing of teeth, street driving, and a year passing, took it to the track.
Pleasantly surpised in October 2008 when it turned the same 1/4 times
as it had before with the slightly larger dual pattern old cam.
Made 5 passes in one evening, all pretty much the same, 12.60 @ 107 mph.
    Previous bests were 12.60 @ 109 mph.
    So using 3250 lbs and 107 mph = ~305 HP @ tires
~381 HP engine using a 20% drivetrain loss
~407 HP engine using a 25% drivetrain loss
    TF727 with 10" 3k B&M stall, 3.73 gears, 26x8.5 slicks, full pipes, pump gas.

    Finally got a burnout video.
Still not the best, camera work could be better, but beats a blank.
Best burnout was the first attempt, but did NOT get video'd.
All I got was a still image of the start and end of it.
So, after that, didn't really "burn it down" since wasn't sure if it was getting taped.
    Taken mid November 2008.

Also deleted old walk-around videos and replaced with new edit version

Also designed and fabricated a custom RamAir Hoodseal Air Cleaner Assembly.
Whatayall think, how's it look ?
