    start up

so here it is, the motor sounds sweet. fires up every time ,65 70 oil pressure at start up. 25 to 30 psi at hot idle ( 180 to 190 degrees ). 45 psi at 2000 rpm. is this normal, it seems when i fire it up after seating for a day or overnight, it sounds like a dry start kinda rough sounding, only for about 1 to 1 1/2 second's then it sings like a singer sewing machine. and say i start it up after waiting say 3 to four hours, starts right up with no roughness, just purrs, don't even need to give it gas. i'm trying to ease my mind, i have a good idea what it is and just wanna confirm it with a consences. i have a 401, edlebrock heads, harland sharp rocker rollers, comp cam, proform dizzy, new timeing cover new gears new adapter, air gap intake, power master starter, 670 truck avenger, dydraulic lifters. thanks mikey

It's just that most of the oil has settled back into the sump so the top of the motor is dry... Hence more noise/clatter than usual... Lifters bleed down a little etc...
