My Excursion is a little on the heavy side of 8,837 lbs...With about 1/8 tank... (I can't imagine what it would be with the 42 gallon tank full.) I also have a 6" Fabtech lift and 35" tires... So that probably aded a little over 100lbs then you figure about 450 lbs of people in it, (Me my ole' lady and my two boys, 3ys & 2yrs)... tools/emergancy air etc in the back... I'm looking at almost 9,500. No wonder the gas is alway gone assoon as I put it in... (500 miles and she's drained next to Empty).
