Blown 7's ultra secret timing cover/oil pump

Stage one! Designing the base plate

The baseplate of B7's T-cover is made out of billet aluminum and is 1.25" thick and 12"s wide and 17"s long. Its a nice slab of aluminum. Here we can see stage one of the build and the extra arm is for supporting a chain driven dry sump oil pump that will live near the oil pan on his super charged 401. You can see the extra bolt holes for the chain cover and the counterbored retaining bolts for the baseplate to cover plate. the stock oiling holes have been blocked off in this application.

will that be an issue with the alternator?

do it right you could rig that cover like a cummins and have the powersteering pump become gear driven
IF washington wont quit spending money like mad men then i suggest we claim 9 deductions in 2010 and withold or taxes till the final dead line of 4/15/2011.

Why stop there? Heck, make the waterpump, alt, ps, and OBA all gear driven. That would be one complicated timing cover and gearset.

Hey Dusty....not to hijack this thread....but do you ever make it back up to Missoula ever? I was born and raised in the bitterroot, left there last year and miss it something fierce.
