Well, I've noticed the truck hasn't wanted to fire right off lately...so today I went to get some food and some salt bags and lo and behold right on main street.

Just pulled up to the red light it just dies...rumble, rumble, rumble....silence...damn.

So there I sit with my son in the truck and 30 cars behind me and the dang thing won't even fire. Luckily a guy I knew was behind me and pushed me off to a side street. Talk about embarrassing. After looking into the problem and calling MSD tech it seems the pick-up coil went on the dissy. Even though the ohms reads ok...(MSDBillet, 6AL and timing computer)

I pulled the dissy to check it and the gears...look fine but spinning the dissy some times makes coil fire and some times doesn't

$60 tow home and $23 part on order...I'll have to wait till Friday to find out.

Anybody else have a pick-up coil go out on a MSD? Kinda disappointed with the life, it's only 2 years old...not many miles either.
A least this didn't happen at the truck pull last week!!
