So i bought some of the HRC gears and the oil relocation kit from BullTear....begin to do a basic teardown tonite........pull the intake (switchin to a Torker) then notice my dist base gasket is torn so i figure i should yank it and replace since im pullin the bottom of the pump off ne ways. Dist gear has teeth chipped off!!! then notice valve seal has some how broke and pieces of it are hangin out in the top end......front crank seal has walked out a bit causing a leak....so im thinkin .................i have a DUI HEI distributor setup and need new gears.....same as stockers? or is the DUI different? Or should i use the points set-up distributor i have considering i have an MSD 6AL and the HEI really serves me no good? except for coil in cap and easy parts? What should i do guys!?!?!?!
