These are the old Speed pro forged pistons for the AMC 360. Rods have been balanced as well as the pistons. This was a race combo but was taken out for a a prepped 401.

Your timing cover is warped? Hmm havent heard of that before. Was it a Bulltear cover or an OEM? Also were you shipping us heads for reman's or to check out? You can get flatness checked at a local machine shop probly for free. If its an issue with one of our parts I will handle that personally for free. Also if your interested in this motor I will ship it to you but Dave would have to be paid first.

See the thing is my 304 has not much more than 5k since complete overhaul, but due to a bad water pump and thrown belts that wrapped round my harmonic and ate my front seal and a few new and upgraded items such as HRC oil pump gears and filter relocator i decided to pull the dist to make more room to work and noiticed my dist gear was ate up upon pulling the oil pump housing. So, i was going to switch out my DUI Hei distributor anyways in favor of a MSD dist, MSD 6AL, and a Blaster 2 coil........put new MSD cam gear on and used the supplied MSD dist gear on the new MSD dist and installed and got her back up and running and pulled dist to check for gear wear soon after and everything looked great! Then maybe 500 miles later as i was pulling into work it died and "popped" a few times and that was it. Check MSD box and it checked out ok for spark, then check dist and found i could spin the rotor while still in the motor.... Took a shitty gear i had from home and tossed it on the Msd dist and ran promptly home and haven't touched it for bout a week. This 304 has treated me very well the whole time i've had it but i was thinking bout swapping her in favor of a 360 and seen this one for sale but im not sure if it would save me cash by just buying this 360 from Dave or just build one of the 3 i have the way i want to suit my needs???? Very cornfused and famboozled on this one

I'm not too sure if being cold weather around here and too thick of oil....20w50???.... Camshaft walk? Crane cam..... oiling? which i highly doubt the oiling is to blame........then maybe the cover?? had the motor hott and i mean hott a few times (thank you Budweiser) Im lost on this one guys

If your interested send me a PM.. MC knows the specs on the motor, has forged pistons, etc, etc, was going to use it for a project but have since changed direction to my other project.

Is it built for low end? will it run on pump gas? how much would it cost extra to be set up with a flywheel instead of flexplate?
