Jeep was driving by Karen on weekends with a lot of fun and very little to no breakage. The SM 465/dana 20 tcase combined with the 4.56 gear ratio comes up to 60.72 crawl ratio. Very good little crawler. Extremely manueverable with drag link tie rod end flip kit removing all bump steer. Suspension is simple, 4" superlift using stock shackle arrangement. Rear axle has been stitch welded at the tubes to prevent axle tube spinning and has a differential guard installed. Axles are widetrack which add great stability to a CJ5, especially off camber. Front axle dana 30 has all new seals throughout. Both axles have lockers installed, lock right lunch box and have never had a problem.
The SM 465 was overhauled last spring and shifts very smooth and positive. A master bearing overhaul kit installed with several internal drive gears due to wear and tear over the years prior to being installed into the Jeep. Driveshafts front very heavy duty using heavier gauge tubing ( can't remember) but were built by Standard Parts. Rear is a Cherokee front drive shaft cut down to the CJ. The shaft has a CV style joint to remove all vibrations that the CJ5 can create especially lifted 4".
The only real down flaw is the fuel delivery which is a single barrel carburetor.
