    Hei vacum

    Hi.
    I am going to use a Edelbrock Thunder avs offroad carb on my 360. Question : The carb has two vacum ports , timed(ported) vacum and manifold vacum. which one do i plug my HEI in to. Timed vacum port ?

    YES, the timed port - which I think on your Carb is the one on the drivers side. Same as my Performer

    Someone posted a link to a wonderfull site on Timing.. Seems the guy that wrote it was a NOVA guy.. that article had a very interesting bit of info on which port to use.. and It seemed to me that they recommended using the non ported vacum.. (If I remember right.. they started using ported vacum in the smog motors.. Keep in mind, I have taken a lot of hard impacts to the head.. and I could be totally full of Bravo Sierra..)

    Does anyone remember that link?? I can't find it.
