    So i rolled it..........



    Hood was worse but i kicked it out and windshield frame was bent further but bent it back so i could drive it out The shitty part was that windshield frame was rust free and had a brand new windshield
    1980 CJ-5, 360 powered, T-18, Dana 20, Advanced Adapters output , 4.56's, Dana 30 frt chromoly shafts w/297 joints and Tru-Trac and M20 rear with Detroit, Superior shafts, and disc brakes and Tom Woods frt and rear shafts.........about 10k in misc aftermarket parts!

    Looks like it's REALLY time to invest in a good full cage.

    You can get a repro windshield frame from places like 4WD Hardware for under $150, glass at local windshield places for under $100 installed. With the windshield frames, check to see that there's a rib between the wiper arm holes, if there isn't, they flex and crack with age.

    Fenders, hood, grille? Pound them out and keep going, call them "battle scars".

    haha so far thats what im doing bob.......got a decent frame from a buddy with good glass and the hood and fenders got a beating from the rubbery mallet

    How'd YOU make out in that deal? I remember taking a CJ-5 end-over-end and busted a couple knuckles ...

    Totaled mine though, broke both axles, bent the frame, and bent everything else - including the 'roll bar'

    haha i ended up just fine....no seat belt but one hell of a grip on the wheel kept me in place. I beat out the dents and its a lil bit ugly but ill live and as far as the roll bar, frame, and axles.....just perfectly fine, did blow a tire off bead but that was an easy fix thanks to my buddies on board air
