    PCV Valve

I've got a 360 going in a 79 CJ7. Has eldebrock intake and carb and valve covers. I bought the billet oil cap from hear and it doesn't have a vent hose nor does my valve covers. I know the valve on the back of the intake attaches to the carb but where do I plumb the other hose that normally is on the oil cap that goes to the air cleaner? I'm wanting as few lines as possible. No smog pump or egr attached.

Also can the charcoal be changed on the the charcoal canister be changed. Don't see a way to open the canister up.

No need for the vent hose from the fill cap to the aircleaner. If you're still using the stock aircleaner just plug the hole.

The oil cap is actually an inlet for air drawn out by the PCV system. The only time you'll get vapor out is with badly worn rings or valve guides, or clogged PCV. As long as the cap has some air passages, forget about the hose, and plug the hole in the air cleaner.

If the cap is solid, then you'll need an alternate breather, like one in a valve cover, or you could end up sucking the gaskets or seals somewhere.

Not sure if it has breather. Don't think so. I bought it here with the stainless tube.

If there is no hose connection I can only assume it is a vented cap? As Bob stated if the cap is solid you will need some other form of ventilation. Unless you had breathers cut in to your valve covers there won't be any there.

I got my cap from here to and it has a hose connection?? I just put on a small Mr Gasket air cleaner since my Carb air cleaner doesn't have the port any more

The PCV should be on the valve cover in back and routed to the carb.
