doing 360 biuld Have 3 to choose from (none are in jeep now) 77 4v,79 2v and an (84? 2v) all with similar milage all from FSJs
Are there any differences in manufacture(CR or head cc's) that would make one a better choice than the others?

some early heads had small chambers other than that they are the same but the older blocks tended to have more material in the cylinders but the newer ones tended to be cast more true.
Virtually no difference. The 4V engine will have a slightly larger cam if you're just looking to bolt it in and go. If you're going to rebuild, go with the one with the lowest mileage or cleanest inside.

If you need a tool and don't buy it...
you'll eventually pay for it...
and not have it.
