360 cylinder head dowel alignment pins

Bought a 360 in boxes. One side of the block is missing the alignment dowel pins/sleeves for the head. Where can I find replacements? Web searches have turned up empty. Only ones I can find that look like it are ones for a BBC. It appears that perhaps the pins/sleeves for a BBC will fit but not sure (Mr. Gasket description lists them as .638/.639 OD to fit a 1/2" head bolt). Would like to find AMC ones before I order a set to try.

Finding the smaller ones for '69 & earlier 7/16 bolts and rectangular heads is even more fun.
Not sure about the BBC pieces.
Recon the OD and length specs can be derived from the Step Dowel drawing.
Looks like .500" long by .624 something O.D.
Maybe try Soth Texas AMC ?

J 400-5149 is the part number for your friendly Dodge/ Jeep dealer. They list it as a pin.

    part number

IS J 400-5149 THE CORRECT PART NUMBER FOR THE LATER MODEL 360 STYLE DOWELS OR IS THIS THE PART NUMBER FOR THE STEP DOWEL WHEN PUTTING 70 AND LATER HEADS ON A 69 BLOCK?

Timing cover dowels are Ace Hardware parts.

I thought your post said 360 in boxes, not a 69 block.

Either should have them. I believe the Jeep I-6 was the same thru 1988, so a Jeep dealer may have them too.

Wasn't posting the Step Dowel Drawing because that's what was needed,
but rather to get a reference dimension from the one end of it
for the O.D. of late model straight head locating bushings for 1/2" head bolts.
