The venturi's in the 4776 Holley 600 DP are so small would think it might be allright for off road on a mild 360. The 4776 Holley DP is the only one with (4) 1-9/16" dia. butterflies. Holley 4777 650cfm through 4780 800cfm all have (4) 1-11/16" dia. butterflies, and the 4781 850 cfm has (4) 1-3/4" dia. butterflies. Dominators have (4) 2" dia. butterflies. If the plastic whistle baffles are in both bowls it should handle the steep angles and fuel slosh. Somehwere on the web there was write up on carb performance off-road and thought the quadrajet came out on top iirc, but it does not fit the AMC spreadbore intake iirc. Might get a Performer Intake and try it with the 600 cfm 4776 first before buying a vacuum secondary.

One more question, Should I run a mechanical fuel pump or a electric.

If so, what electric pump would you recomend?

Build of the CJ8 can bee seen @ S2M Going slow but going. Geting ready to do the under side of the tub after I get the rubber brake hoses.

Any recomendations for the 600 Holley? I would rather go mechanical for trail use but really not sure.

Not an Jeeper/Off-Roader, but always had good luck with the Carter #6906 Super Street Mechanical Fuel Pump.

mechanical will work great just make sure its not worn out. the mechanical will never leave you stranded because of an electrical problem as long as your ignition keeps sparking and your engine is turning it will provide fuel.

That is my thinking Ironman, I'm old school in that way. Now is there any specific one I know the Carter has been mentioned, any others, or should I start a new thread.

Please look @ image "A" where the finger is pointing to the PCV port, if U look to the left and down U will see black tape on a pipe. Is this for the heater hose hook up or .............. One should be from the front neck of the T-stat and one should come from here, correct? I do not have a diagram of the routing for this intake, maybe someone could help me out here, please. BTW- I posted more pics in the project section-CJ8 to M170 Project.
