Had a busy weekend getting things done around the house. Also tinkered around with the Jeep a little. I finally gave her a good wash and wax - she was filthy from off roading and constant rain here in Atlanta.

I decided to paint the "4.7" on the intake:

Here's a pic of it in progress (I learned overspray on your windshield will kill a set of wiper blades quick a looooong time ago):

I also finally decided to mount my off road lights. I was trying to decide where to put them, and finally decided in front of the grill since they would still get plenty of ventilation. Here is the final product:

Here are some shots of the mount being made:

It ties into the bumper frame - I know it's hard to tell here. I want to do one more thing to make it a little more solid. Overall though, I think it is pretty cool and didn't have to cut into the bumper.

I took measurements in case someone might be interested in me making them one.

I also started on 5 more sets of switch panels if anyone is interested. I have a couple of mounting options that I think you may like. I'll post pics soon.

Anywho, I' pooped - time for shower and the bed!

    Jack

Paint doesn't exactly match, but it's pretty danged close (looks worse from the flash from the camera. Plus, I can remove this with zero damage to the ol' GCherokee. At first I was going to weld on some bolts on the back so it was just a flush panel, but liked the look of these bolt heads better.

Oh, and will someone come clean out the floor of my car?
