does anyone know where to find a 6 volt starter for the 134 engine and what are the differences between the single and dual diaphram fuel pumps besided fuel flow and pressure.

When I had my 49, I found it was cheaper to take the starter to a place that serviced electric motors. They checked mine and found it just needed new brushes and bushings, the windings were fine. Cost me less than $50 to fix it.

A 6 volt starter always turns slower than a 12 volt. Sounds like the battery is low or starter is dragging.

They didn't crank over real fast new!! At 6v they kinda sound like they are dragging compared to a newer starter today....

Still like' em that way though!!
