    crankshaft balancing question

    had my machinist balance my 360 amc crank and he said he had to remove alot from the throws is this unusual . using aftermarket rods and oversize pistons correct balancer and correct counterweighted flywheel
    an amc was my first car and so will also be my last car/jeep

    If your piston/rod/bearing/ring set combination is much lighter than stock , then yes. Otherwise, I would question whether he has the knowledge and ability to use his equipment correctly.

    Just like going to the doctor, ask for a second opinion.
