    Wiring DTHC on Powermax30

    So, I have figured out from creepy's post where to wire the "Tip Volts Workclamp" and the "Tip Volts Electrode". But since the 30 doesn't have an external connection port like the 45, I at a stand still here Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Does your manual give you the locations? I am not too familiar with the 30 unit.

    No, it doesn't. I have contacted Jim Colt and he has directed me to Tom over at C&C. Jim also stated there is a way to make it work using a Magnetic reed switch and a piece of steel pipe

    I spoke to Tom over at C&C and he told be that I need a "Current Transformer" since my Plasma Unit does not have an accessable Arc Good/ok signal. They have them, and there only 18 bucks

    Heres the description from there website;

    FOR USE WITH DTHC OR BladeRunner Dragon Cut systems and Plasma cutter that do not have an Arc OK signal output.

    Optional AC side Current Transformer (CT) for 35 to 200A units. Allows plasma units that do not have an accessable Arc Good (Arc XFER, Arc OK, Okay to Move,etc) signal to be used with our DTHC and automated cutting system. AC cord (one leg) is passed through the CT and two small wires go to our THC Sensor Card (included with DTHC) and provides an ARC GOOD signal to MACH. If your plasma unit does not have a plug for the Arc Good signal (comes on when the arc has been established), you need to order one of these. Manual has compete instructions for hookup.

    And since the current transformer is for 35A-200A, and the powermax is only 30A. Extra wraps with the AC wire around the "donut" will make it work, according to Tom.

    Here's a a few pictures of the table with the gantry installed and the AIO mounted. I was thinking of adding the G251-SOLO KIT. Do you think there is enough room on the overhang on the back end of the table to build rotary 5th axis? I think there enough room to Put a 4" lathe chuck in there. The table was built to the specs provided
