My choice stands beetween 2 types of camshaft i´m not sure wich one to choose and what the difference beetween those 2 will be. So if somebody knows more about those types or has tried them out it would be great to get some tips. Those camshafts are

    Lunati Voodoo

    •Advertised Duration (Int/Exh): 262/268
    •Duration @ .050 (Int/Exh): 220/226
    •Gross Valve Lift (Int/Exh): .507/.527
    •LSA/ICL: 112/108
    •Valve Lash (Int/Exh): Hyd/Hyd
    •RPM Range: 1600-5800

    and

    Comp XE262H
    Valve Lift Int/Exh .493/.500
    Duration Adv. Int/Exh 262/270
    Duration @.050 Int/Exh 218/224

Or if somebody would reccoment to me some different type for my Jeep.

I´ve been building Jeep´s since 1976 but i´m not the best one with the motors so it would be great to get some tips

    Thanks

    Albert

I tried that and the silence at the other end pretty much answered the question. What he did finally suggest was wrong as he based it off a chevy cam with a smaller lifter diameter. I would suggest Straight Line Performance as he knows AMC motors very well. I run his product in my Mud Race CJ and have been very happy with it. Just my .02 cents worth.

Go with the voodoo and advance 2-4 degrees using your timing chain.

    Thank you for the respondes

What do I gain by advancing 2-4 degrees using my time chain?

I bought Lunati voodoo cam 64502 262/268 507/527. I also bought forged pistons 9.5 compression, hp oil pump, cam bearings, rod bearing, main bearing, SFI balancer fit and more from bulltear.

Everything I have orderd from Bulltear is definetly high quality stuff and they really know what they are selling. I highly recomend them for AMC users.

    Best regards, Albert

On second thought looking at the duration I dont think advance would be a good idea you would sputter out of power at 3000rpm. Install that camshaft strait up with no tricks done to the timing set.
