*SOLD* Torker Intake with interesting race history - MI

    Hey guys,

Here is a very interesting Torker intake. It came from Florida and was sold by the son of the guy who used to race with it. He apparently ran some sort of track racing with it, and modified it to "fit" a stock class and make it look like a "stock" intake. It was run on a 390 engine in the late 70's.

The PCV valve grommet hole was welded shut. The "Edelbrock" script was crudely ground off the top, from in front of the carb plenum. He stamped an AMC part number on the top, behind the carb plenum, as well as the firing order in front of the plenum and the cylinder numbers on each of the intake runner tops. He also welded shut the hole in the bottom of the plenum, where the EGR gases would have come from. The EGR mounting area is tapped, so he probably had a dummy EGR valve bolted onto it, as well. Last of all, the center bolt holes have been elongated, so he apparently was running it on a 68-69 390 engine.

All-in-all, it's a pretty interesting intake, and ready for racing again.

The carb stud holes are pretty shallow in this (1/2" maybe) and 2 of them had threads that were a little loose. I drilled the holes about 1/4" deeper and ran a tap all the way down them. The rest of the holes on the intake have had a tap run down them, just to clean them up.

Also, the skinnier throttle bracket emboss had a stripped thread in the top. I had the TIG welded and then I drilled and tapped the hole in it again.

If anyone is interested in this, I am asking $150 for it.

Powercoating is an option, also, if you're interested. Thanks!
