Bull gear for a Jepp CJ T18 into a Dana 20

I recently picked up a CJ T18 and Dana 20 combo from a 1975 CJ. However, the transmission slide gear (sometimes called a bull gear maybe) was not included.

Where can I get a replacement gear, and what holds the gear onto the T18 output shaft? Is there a bolt or a snap ring? I need the fastener too.

Does someone have a picture that illustrates the gear and how it is attached?

Can someone shed some light on this topic for me? Also, where can I order the gear and associated part numbers? Anyone have a picture of one of these?

    Thanks.

The gear should still be available new. It's held on with a thick flat washer and a nylock nut. The output shaft in the T-18 is threaded. There's also a cast iron adapter about 1" thick on the back of the trans.

    Try Mile High Jeep Rebuilders

    1-888-3-Mile-Hi or (303) 629-0378

They should have it both new and used.

You might also try Novak - http://www.novak-adapt.com
    or Advance Adapters - http://www.advanceadapters.com
