    Exhaust bolts amc 360

What is suggested for exhaust bolts on an early 70's 72-73 360. The ones I had before were pretty hard to get on and rusted pretty bad, not to mention came loose. Also, what is the correct size bolt for this motor?

I've just used standard 3/8" grade 8 bolts with lock washers. Later heads used smaller bolts (5/16" ?) on the ends. I think length would be 1 3/4" as long as you use a washer, that length might bottom without one. I usually run a bottoming tap down the thread holes before running new bolts in.

My '73 304 were all 3/8" and the '78 & '85 360 had (2) 3/8 and (2) 5/16 per side. All these had a hole drilled ~1" in the center of the bolt and I can't remember for the life of me what this was for.

Looking through the OMIX catalog, I did not find a listing for these bolts.
