Dipstick tube to valve cover support plate

I was having a look in the about submission tread and found this Oil dip stick support

(You can make a simple plate that fastens to the valve cover bolt that will slip over the dipstick to support or hold it in place.)

If you have a look at other AMC vehicles there should already be one I have four AMC engines and they all have them they are a standard item on matadors. I posted a pic of one so one would know what to look for.

Did these come from the factory with a rubber grommet or did the dip stick tube just ride on the hole in the plate?
I've seen one in my life where the plate rubbed a hole in the tube.

Goes just through the hole, no grommet
