    TDC - Valve - '74 - 360

Ok, I don't have a book and I would like to know the valve that just starts to open on TDC.

Is it the passenger side, front, second one in from the front?

    Thanks,
    Signed,

That would be the first valve on the drivers side, also known as the exhaust valve

If your timing mark pointer and the mark on the dampener is at top dead center and as it passes the valve will just start to open. When the exhaust valve starts to open you should be passing top dead center mark on the dampener so you will need to back it up to put it at top dead center. If the valve is opening you have passed TDC.

rollbar- what are you trying to do?
on the number one cylinder on the compression stroke TDC both valves are closed and the spark should fire shortly BTDC
on the exaust stroke tdc you are at overlap...the intake valve is opening and the exaust is closing- dependng on how big a cam you have
