401 automatic in a International truck

Hope I am not beating a dead horse here
I have been looking for a 401 for my Javelin
and have found one in a truck with a automatic
behind it. Was just wondering if I should go with this
or wait to find one in a Jeep? Any problem with tranny
    I hear it has a 4th planetary

    Thanks for any info given

Excellent setup except for the 2bbl intake. With any luck it has the long sloping dipstick as well. Very good motor and VERY good tranny!

It's my understanding that IH installed a much better design alternator bracket that what was found on AMC products.

I wish I could find a "better" low mount alternator bracket. Mine keeps breaking the brace between the main bracket & the block. No offence mc but I'd rather keep my alternator down low & somewhat out of sight.

Do you want it lower than this? I don't think there is room. You will run into the heater hose.

I made my own lower bracket and used Bulltear's upper for this 140 amp Delco.l

ORC, I got mine much lower than that. The heater hose goes over the top of the alt.
