So I went to fill my freshbuilt engine with distilled water for the first start and a river opened up from the timing cover. There is what looks to be a puncture in the cover from the drivers side above the fuel pump hole right where the cover meets block. It's curled in ward, though small, any hole is a bad hole and it leaks like a stuck pig, so obviously the cover needs to be replaced. All of my equipment in this area (timing cover) is factory spec (including oil filter, etc). I am wondering what all i should go ahead and replace while I am in there. Timing cover obiovusly, oil filter adapter? Mid plate? distro and oil gears? The only thing I've added to this engine is a pre-luber, which is plugged into the galley underneath the filter. I was thinking this may not be ideal of a place since the line has to turn 45deg through a 1/8th pipe and may not flow so well. What do you guys recommend I purchase here? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
