    Suspension bump stop replacement help

I have recently bought a new Jeep Grand Cherokee (WK) and all four of the bumper stops are blown out, mashed to bits, GONE!!!!! is more like it, lol.

I have bought the new ones and have been fighting with the rears trying to figure out how to get what is left of the old ones out. They seem to just snap in place and with nothing to grab on to, it is frustrating my last nerve trying to pry these thing out. Am I on the right path? Or is there some sort of hidden bolt/nut I can't see? Dang Haynes repair manual says nothing anywhere about these parts of my Jeep!

    Thanx in advance,
    Benny

    Update:

Ok, jacked the body way up and dropped the suspension till it hung from the shock, removed the tires and had to dig what was left of the bump stops out with a flat blade screwdriver. I did this just to see what would happen and the BSs were deteriorated so bad they fell out in pieces. Found out that they just wedge inplace so I installed them and reassembled the whole lot. Went for a test drive and YES!! that bump down the road was a soft as cotton!

Now tomorrow I may check out how to do those in front :-(
