I just joined to see what the Bulltear CNC is like. I'm considering the 4 x 4 in kit form and plan to use it for both Wood Routing and Plasma cutting. Anyone doing both, would like to hear comments on the change over process.....is it time consuming and a pain? How do you all like the quality and performance of your machines? What type of Plasma torch can be used, pilot arc hi freq.? Thanks and have a great week! Ed
Haven't finished my 4x8 yet so can't comment much yet but I understand a high frequency pilot arc can cause problems. I believe it was Matt that told me you can shield everything but it gets expensive to do so. He can confirm that though, it's been a while back.
Please do NOT use a hi frequency unit on these tables. Everything is optoisolated however you may still have PC grounding issues. There are those who are using hi frequency units however it is a problematic setup and frequently will have issues.
