They're kind of expensive, but I think I'm going with the Keisler SS700 in my Rogue project. Probably more than the car needs, but will be bulletproof.

How expensive? I know the Doug Nash is a bolt in, the Keisler is not as far as I know so a different bellhousing is needed.

The SS700 will fit a T-4 or T-5 factory bellhousing, from what I'm told. It's supposed to fit in the stock tunnel without mods. Base trans is around $2900, shifter, bells, mounts, and crossmembers are extra. I don't know if they have an AMC kit yet, but having worked with a Mustang WC T-5, if it's a bolt in on the Mustang, it should work in an AMC with just a slight mod to the input bearing retainer (shorten the nose about 3/4").

Thanks Bob. I did locate a guy who says he has a NOS Dough Nash AMC spec trans and shifter but it's a bit over budget now. I think I wil rebop the T-10 for now and plan it as an upgrade down the road.

I know of a Doug Nash here in Oregon. As I remember it has broken first gear. Think it was a Chevy input spec. Should I investigate?
