Here is a few shots of a set of L 2336 pistons I bought off Ebay never put on rods they are std bore after reading about the Egge pistons I think these are TRW forged L 2336 std stamped on piston top.

Living in reality can work if your realistic
Those thick walls make it look like a cast piston but that number was an older forged piston number. From 2007-end of 2013 there really wasnt a good cast option or forging option. Federal Mogul went to India and the castings and forgings had a very poor performance in AMC V8s. Egge castings had the same record. This is coming from customers who had built motors and had multiple immediate failures. I can only tell you what they have said many times from many many customers. This is one of the reasons we offer a fully forged piston in any compression with no price change. (from flat top to dish). That piston is a mystery without having a better pic.
