the matched distrib and cam gear set I purchased is a bit askew..
distrib gear not drilled correctly, wont go on shaft...
is there something I'm missing?

AMC distributor holes are drilled to .491 (that is OEM spec). AMC distributor shafts are .490. If you using this on a chevy conversion distributor it wont work without alot of work. What distributor are you trying to put this on? What brand and type? If its a ProComp your shit out of luck nothing AMC will fit.

from a little research I found out that distrib gears when offered from AMC where not drilled all the way through.. since this has a through hole am I expected to open up the hole in the distrib shaft?
Im just trying to make this all work so I don’t run into issues..
