    PCV Grommet

    Gents,

Perchance, might anyone have the dimensions of the PCV grommet in the left side valve cover on the 360/401?

Mine has disintegrated and need a new one of which there isn't enough left to determine anything.

    Thanks for any assistance here,

    Welcome to Bulltear.

The PCV was never in the valve covers of any 360/401 from the factory. It's at the back of the intake manifold, toward the passenger side. If there's a PCV in the valve cover, a prior owner has put it there. It's probably not a good idea, unless they added some sort of baffle inside the valve cover. Without a baffle it would suck oil from the rockers.

    Thanks Bob.

It looks like I have a custom setup from a previous owner utilizing a chrome baffled cap (snapped into the OEM grommet) with an in-line PCV plumbed to the base of the carb. I need that grommet that fits the valve cover which I believe to be the original.
