Building 1969 AMC 390 - best basic oil mods for this engine?

Matt - Maybe you could chime in on this?

    Hey I'm building a 1969 AMC 390 V8 for a Javelin SST 4 speed car.
Rectangular port heads etc .. Not trying to build a high end race engine just a good street
    running AMC V8 390.
Have BW T10 and 3:54 posi configuration.

I need to understand the oil mods for the 7-8 cylinders that appear to historically run lean of oil on these motors.
I have heard of the dedicated oil line to the noted Cylinders but don't feel I need to do that.
The motor I will build will possibly hit 6000 rpm.

I have heard about using specific cam bearing with larger journal holes and using the mid plate system on the oil pump
housing and possibly better oil pump gears.
Will this be enough to cure the issues with the 7/8 cylinders?

Any help or focused advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

    kinda open to cam recommendations..?

Kinds in then .480 area max lift...

    bullet cams recommended

    LIFT .480/.480

    Any help appreciated.

You need a good oil pump. I would opt for our oil filter relocation based on its ability to delete a lot of the bottlenecks in the system. And get yourself a extra capacity oil pan and not much more you need to do for those RPMs.
