Thats quite a list. How do the Ford Autos adapt to the AMC engine? Using an adapter ring like can be had for the Chevy and BOP Th350s and 400s?

    Thanks
    Jesse

who currently makes an adapter ring for the AMC engines to the Ford automatics? Ive never even heard of them being available or is it one of those monstrous bellhousing adapters where you have the pleasure of cutting the automatic case and bolting one of these on? Ewwww. that jsut makes me nervous.

    Hey jesse
I am going to be making adaptor rings for ford and chevy to amc trannies for both 1st and 2nd generation bellhousings, out of stainless of course, but if you cant wait...advanced adaptors makes one, im not sure if they list it in their new online catalog, but if you call them they will hook you up, no its not a great big thick bellhousing, its a elegant ring with a crank spacer

Jeeps, that is a heckuva list of trannies - do you have a similar matrix for what splitters fit to them? I've got 2 Jeeps a 85 w/a T-5 & 300 that's been under improvment for a couple years. The 87 I just got but I think it has the 904/998 or 999 and np231 (haven't crawled under it yet to try and match it up). Like I said, I just got this one - an 87 complete w/hard top 2 soft tops and a bikinni, sorta running, little rust for 1800!?! I took the chance

Aready have a 4" Rancho and stuff. Do want to change the tranfr output to a real u-joint so a tail shaft adaptor is in order and will need to work both drive shafts. This is my daughters rig so I'm not going to go to far with it. I will be rebuilding the 258 since it doesn't run well - like maybe hitting on 4 of 6?? - and theres more permatex on the block than the auto parts place has in stock. Probably stick with 31 M/Ts after I repolish the rims. My Avator is her rig - mine is still in the shop with the front clip outside.

I was hoping to stay away from the CV joints just because they are so hard to fix on the trail. With the shorter tail shaft I'll have to lenghten the drive shaft - I'm told about 4", plus a little for the lift. I'm not sure how the stock slip will work or if I need to have a longer spline on the shaft. comments?
