    steering gearbox mounting plate

I've got a friend with a '77 blazer frame and where the steering gearbox mounts to is pretty much shot. Does anyone know if this is common on chevy's or do I just seem to see this happen by coincidence?

you can also add a brace to the other side of the frame to stiffen it so it wont rip off and or crack again.
