ok it makes sense now.. when I worked in the transmission shop many moons ago we call both a flywheel, now I know the difference.
My other quesiton was regarding the offset in the pumpkin on the rear D44. Trying to figure out if I will be doing an axle swap also.

if you are going to run a th-400 i would spend the money for a sfi billit flexplate the factory flex plate do not last long with and power to them
