D60 and D70 Powerloks share the same side gear sets. Actually they share all the same guts just the 70 is a larger casting for the larger diameter ring gear. The D70 PLok clutch kits ussually are the same as a D60 HD clutch kit so when ordering dont be bashful the 70's come with two extra curved clutches. The D70HD shares carrier bearings with the D80 and the 70 HD PLok can have the ring gear bolt homes opened up to fit the D80 bolts remove teh bearing spacers that are used on open carriers in the 80 and presto you have a D80 Power Lok. This only works on a 35 spline D80 hybrid axle used by Dodge and Ford.

Cheap side gear swaps for a D60 are acheived through finding a D70 for next to nothing and robbing the 35 spline 1 piece side gears and cups and installing them into the D60 Plok.

You can also set the Powelok up tighter than factory via sliding one or two additional clutches in OR my way is swapping flat clutches for curved preload clutches. If you want i cna go into detail on that but its is simple
