Well, bring it by and we'll watch it after the superbowl - and again when we're sober Just to cut down on the number of trips to the parts store

It didn't arrive yet. I was three trips from the parts store away from making it over there today. It took me three trips to get the right part...and now I have to send the wife there because I still have the wrong part . The wife is shopping , the truck is down for a few hours and the kids keep bringing me there dolls to play with.

yeah, yeah, and my Jeep won't start because the starter is frozen - we could have done it. What are you going to drive on Monday???

OK, here it is a week later and Rob has his rear-end done and new poly spring bushings to boot (as well as rear shocks and a quick weld-o on his exhaust.
I must comment he took all y'alls advice:

1. Drinking was deffinately at a minimum (Tigger, one beer throughout the whole ordeal )
2. It was friggin complicated (MC) (but the carrier was only 5 or 6 times in and out - it was the pinion bearing that was a REAL PAIN!!!)
3. Higer math didn't help (Fuzz, "first thing look at the factory pinion for a + or- then look at the new gears ") It was a 3.08 to 4.56 with a whole new carrier - we swagged it. Since there was no setup bearing we used the old one for a ballpark figure. To get it off the new pinion took the full weight of the 20 ton press, a cut-off wheel, a torch, a spring steel prybar and a 3' breaker bar, and the Hulk on the other end
4. Video? What video??? Rob watched it and said it showed some good pics of various different axles, and a perfect assembly without the steps on how to get there.

A bearing separator wqould have saved you a lot of grief w/ that pinion bearing.
Also, the trick to making set-up bearings is to relieve a little material from the portion which makes contact (inside of inner race, outside of outer race). I use an abrasive drum of a size slightly smaller than the ID of the inner race. Outer races can be gently abraded w/ a grinder or belt or disc sander.
Relieve just enough material so that the bearing can be removed/replaced by hand.
Having a good set of setup bearings makes the multiple assemblies/dis-assemblies of a diff set-up much more pleasant.

I wish I had know you guys were gonna do that regear. My friend in Nashville has the Randy's bearing remover that I could have gotten him to mail me to borrow (if I ask nice enough!). Watched him use it and it saves SOOO much time and effort. You can see it in this pic:
