    Oil filter

    Did the oil filter mounting base change between 86 and 88 this is refering to the amc 360?

    i think the threaded adapter went from english to metric threads and that might be when they did away with the oil bypass

    best ever 11.669 @ 112.33 mph in 1/4 mile on 33 x 10.50 slicks and 4" lift / 7.358 @ 93.03 mph in the 1/8 mile

    Yes, that's when the bypass was done away with in the adapter. The metric filter was a common Mitsubishi p/n which has an internal bypass.
