LOL!
Full Size Jeeps RULE!
I just bought a nice J10 as a my Daily Driver!
I would not have it any other way!
Folks think I am insane for buying a fuel thirsty FSJ when crude has hit $100 a barrel!

I am currently on the hunt for a Waggy as my family vehicle. After that I would love to find another clean j-series truck for my tow rigOriginally Posted by The PIG Smith

Have a 76 j10 with 360. love this truck. had to replace the timing chain the other day. chain came off without removing either gear and truck was still running. ha great motor. j10 has been a work in progress, little money, little time but has never left me stranded. this is my daily driver. haul more firewood than any of the chevys or fords. can't beat the j10. it looks cool too not like all the neighbors trucks. =D>
I love the Full Sized Beasts. I've had at least one going on about 8 years now. The only one I have now is the first one I bought. Has about 271,000 miles on it and still runs great. Has a 3" Rough Country lift, 3" Body Lift, and for now 31" tires. Hoping to change out the sluggish 2.79 gears for some 4.56's soon. I have the parts, just not the time or experience. I don't ever see myself getting rid of it (knock on wood).
I've since have cut the front and rear wheelwells out for tire clearance. Looks alot meaner too.
Have a friend with junk in his back lot and saw the j10 sitting with weed grown around it. Traded him an old camping trailer that I had just sitting around full of stuff. Truck had been sitting for 11 years. Replaced everything that you would expect to go bad from just sitting. After running rubber hose to a gas can for fuel and changing oil it started right up. Have been fixing all the leaky leaks as time permits. Have just replaced timing chain and oil pan gaskets and now have maybe 1200 in the whole truck. Hop in and go any place I need to go. Have spare Q-trac complete I got in junk yard for 75. Got chain and vacuum shift for edrive. Will see how that goes when I can get to it. This is my first jeep and have done all work myself. Maybe tomorrow will snap some pics of what I have done with inside of truck. nothing fancy, just functional.
