    5th hole

Well, I'm putting my rear axle back together in my 76 CJ5, AMC 20. I don't remember there being more than 4 bolts through the backing plate but now I notice a 5th hole about 1/2 inch in diameter between the two bottom 3/8th bolt holes. Is there supposed to be a 1/2 inch bolt in this hole? Seems one wil fit.

No bolt in the bottom hole. It's a "weep hole" so oil/grease can get out if a seal fails instead of running into the brake drum.

Thanks! I guess I never saw it when I took the backing plates off due to all the caked on dirt, oil and grease pluging it up.
