    TF-727 install, no reverse

The new trans will not go into reverse. I checked the fluid and it looked good. I still added another quart and it kind of popped into reverse once so I thought that was my issue. I added one more quart and back to no reverse and drive feels very sluggish. Once it is in reverse you can hear the load on the motor, but still nothing. Then all of a sudden it is leaking right under the shifter linkage arm. What is causing the leak and no reverse?

Are you checking the oil level in neural with the engine running?

Do you have the kickdown linkage installed and properly adjusted?

Yes to both. It is now leaking between the body and the shift linkage. If I totally hammer down on the throttle it moves some. I gave up and dropped it at a tranny shop. I will see what they say on Monday.
