    compression ratio calculation

Please help me verify my thoughts. It looks like a 401 w/ 27cc dished pistons and 58cc heads and pretty much everything else 'normal' should yeild a ~ 9.8:1 comp ratio, right? I'm aiming for a cost effective ~ 9.5:1. Thoughts? Thanks.

Not enough info. Are the heads shaved or has the block been decked? If so, how much? How thick of a head gasket are you running? It all plays into your compression ratio.
